NIGERIA FOR WOMEN DELEGATION PAY COURTESY VISIT TO HER EXCELLENCY DR ZAINAB SHINKAFI BAGUDU
A World Bank team led by Mr. Michael Ilesanmi, the Project coordinator, alongside other team members from the Federal Ministries of Finance and Women Affairs have visited Kebbi state to assess ongoing progress on the Nigeria for Women Project in Kebbi. He stated that the visit was to get her buy into the program that aims to alleviate poverty to 54,600 women across 3 LGAs of the state.
Mr Ilesanmi stated that they visited Maiyama, Ngaski and Argungu local governments and in addition to visiting the LG coordinators, they were able to meet the relevant community stakeholders such as the Emir of Argungu and Yauri.
In her address, Dr Zainab-Shinkafi
Bagudu, welcomed the team and acknowledged the effect it would have on our women. She agreed the platforms offers limitless opportunities which can be extended to other issues such as health and cancer promotion.
Also present at the meeting was Aisha Muhammad Mai-kurata Permanent Secretary, Mrs Ruth Mishelia, Kitan Jinadu and others.
